We loved the views and boho vibe of the hotel. Everything was exceptionally clean and the design is lovely! The plunge pools/hot tub in the rooms are awesome. Also, the spa is awesome. Make sure you allow time for a visit (we had massages from Zeinab and Hanem) to the spa. It was the perfect spot for relaxation and the massages were wonderful! We absolutely loved our stay!

Unlike Cairo, Aswan is much slower paced and people are much nicer. The city has several historical sites, temples, and islands. The views and food are amazing. I’m skipping Cairo on my next trip to Egypt and coming straight to Aswan and Luxor.

Tombs of the Nobles were really neat if you can make it over to the other bank. Watch out for the camel guys there though. We got roped into $50 camel rides.
Aswan was probably our least favorite stop in Egypt. Harassment by salespeople was higher here than at the Great Pyramids, and much higher than Luxor! We couldn't walk anywhere at anytime of the day without a salesperson walking with us for several blocks. And as soon as they were done, someone else would take over. Its too bad, I think the corniche could be a really pretty walk!

Everyone was so friendly and helpful.
I didn’t realize that the hotel was undergoing a little construction. It looked like they were upgrading their ramp. This meant we had to carry our bags up the stairs to the lobby.
The property is beautiful and has a terrific view of the town and we could see the Nile from our room. The restaurant was very good- we had dinner there.
BTW the construction noise never bothered us. We couldn’t hear it at all.

If you are doing the Initiatic path, Elephantine Island is so perfect. We stayed at Mango Tree (feel like exotic move stars) and Nubian Dreams (also a restaurant but we scored their top floor room and that is super fun) We also stayed at Nubian Palace, oh my gosh. Take a little private ferry and go to that place. Its so memorable. Philae temple was set up from our host at Nubian Palace (which we usually never do but she is a badass and handles it so you don't have to negotiate to and from the ferry marina) Stay on the west bank. Never the east. Its so loud and full of hustle. The west bank is like real Egypt. Lovely. Easy to start the temple path to Abu Simbel by hopping on a local large bus. Fun, cheap, easy. (Its a little more coming back but its all very cheap so be nice and accept the system) From here you can take a train, bus or private taxi to Kom Ombo and Edfu as you make your way to Luxor. (ALSO STAY ON THE WEST BANK in luxor) What a lovely quiet and profoundly spiritual adventure.
This is a special place. It is well designed to make the most of its incredible location at the top of sand dunes overlooking Aswan and the Nile.
The buildings are lovely, bright, and colourful inside and out.
My room was comfortable, clean, and had everything I needed for a three night stay. The bed was very comfy, and it had the best pillows.
The staff were all polite, friendly and helpful. Nirvana, Hussein and Sara all helped to make my stay a memorable one.
The food here was the best I had on my travels through Egypt.
I will forever be grateful and thankful for how the management and staff of this hotel treated my wife and her mother.
My 8 month pregnant wife and her mother fled gun fire on a 25+ hour bus ride from Khartoum to aswan . They were held at the border for several hours . The hotel pushed our dates and checked them in late . They were very hospitable.
I recommend this hotel for families, their attention to details for your needs is very professional.
We loved being immersed in the community, stepping out the door to local markets and restaurants was so much fun. We are a family of 4 and had the second floor to ourselves which was clean, spacious and comfortable. Mustafa was amazing, always making sure we were comfortable and organised for all our sightseeing at great prices. I don’t think our stay in Aswan would have been the same staying anywhere else. A real gem for our Egypt experience.
Mohamad the owner is a true star. He went above and beyond for us booking all the activities we needed at a competitive price and with honest people. The house itself and it's nice and cosy and has a beautiful terrace overlooking the Nile bits conveniently located a few meters away from the dock and breakfast is very good and comes in generous portions (typical Egyptian breakfast)
Recommended 100%
We spent 5 nights at the end of Nov 2023. We totally enjoyed our stay. Nice views from the roof top terrace while enjoying Ezra’s good breakfast, really clean room and right beside the Island best restaurant (the King Jamaica). The hotel is right beside the public ferry (10 EGP/ one way) which brings you right in the action of Aswan with the quietness of staying on the island.
This place the BEST PLACE TO STAY in all egypt..Very very peacefull place near the Nile. The hotel, rooms, restaurant very clean and very comfy. The staff very friendly and helpful. Kafana help us to organize all our tours. İf you want to stay clean comfy and peacefull place in Aswan, dont think just stay there. We have spent three magical nights there, everything is amazing.
Peaceful. Lovely view over Nile to botanical gardens and desert behind. Nice to have breakfast or just hang out each day admiring the view from rooftop Easy access to Aswan via ferry for 10 Egyptian pounds. No cars on island. Amongst quiet Nubian village. Walk to many restaurants within 5 to 10 min.
Well looked after by Mata and Osama.
It was a super nice stay. The location was very beautiful. The rooms were huge. I loved the swimming pool. Horres the manager was so kind and helped us with everything from booking taxis to ordering food to booking us into the light and sound show at the temple. Thanks so much for everything! It was the best place we stayed in Egypt.
Our hotel manager Selim made sure everything was arranged from boat rides into Aswan, rides to the airport, and great customer service at the hotel. The chef Mahmoud was very nice to us well, helping with a series of early starters that I know he didn't sleep a ton because of. The hotel is beautiful, would highly recommend.
Amazing view from the terrace on Aswan and the Nile. Also the staff was very friendly and helpful: Our request for a late checkout was no problem. The room was nice with a comfortable king-size bed. The room was satisfyingly clean. The breakfast was amazing though you have to go downstairs to the "regular" Basma hotel.
The location is great if you are looking for a calm place. I would recommend to stay one or two nights in this hotel, and maybe one night in the city center. It’s not really far away from Aswan, but the prices are high - be careful with the taxi/boats drivers. The breakfast is great and full of options.
The view of the hotel was beautiful overlooking parts of Aswan and it was close to the center so location wise it was perfect. The staff was also friendly especially Maria and Reham, both were very helpful so thanks to both of them in addition to the message therapist Nana.
Fantastic guesthouse, easily accessible from the west bank by a fixed price ferry( no haggling required). There is a great restaurant with delicious tagine and beer at the landing. It was the best hotel we stayed at in Egypt and could have stayed for a week.
Wonderful guesthouse in a quiet location away from the bustle of Aswan. Elephantine gives you a glimpse of rural life in modern Egypt. Bayt Zaina was a very relaxing stay and the staff were friendly and available to help at any time. Would love to stay again!
Great setting, lovely family, very helpful host, dreamy hotel, great balcony overlooks, very interesting village. Away from the Aswan craziness, but fun and easy transport on the ferry (5 Egyptian pounds per person)
The absolute best hotel Ive seen in Egypt. Amazing people, beautiful view, good price and the best food I ate.
I was so surprised. If you are in Aswan - you have to stay in this place.
Fabulous view of the Nile, wonderful friendly staff, excellent local food at the Oriental Restaurant. A stay to remember! If you are going to Aswan, this hotel is not to be missed!
