The city centre was easily reached from the hotel, but The Marriot was a lot quieter than the downtown area and a lot cheaper. Plus didn't have to pay crazy valet parking rates in the city centre hotels. We were glad we had chosen to stay there for our 2 nights, rather than the hotels around the river walk.

The location is superb and you'll be hard pressed to find a better one. Theres easy access to downtown and the river walk. Breakfast on our 2nd day there had amazing items for a breakfast tacos you could make yourself.

There was a very large bed, a sofa, two desks areas with seating, a very good kitchen, a large bathroom with walk in shower, and ample storage space. The Wifi worked very well, and the staff were extremely helpful. The hotel itself is very well positioned for the river walk, Alamo, the cathedral, and the convention centre. While not inexpensive, it was reasonably priced.
